Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
2 tbsp salted butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp dried minced onion
1/2 tsp black pepper
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
2 cups beef broth
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook ground beef, breaking it up into crumbles, until no pink remains, about 8–10 minutes. Drain excess grease and return beef to skillet.
2. Lower heat to medium. Add salted butter and let it melt.
3. Stir in minced garlic, dried minced onion, and black pepper. Cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
4. Add all-purpose flour and stir, cooking for 1 minute to remove the raw flour taste.
5. Slowly stream in beef broth while stirring constantly to avoid lumps. Add Worcestershire sauce and stir.
6. Simmer for 5 minutes until the gravy thickens. Serve immediately over mashed potatoes, rice, or noodles.
Notes
For a richer flavor, let the beef get a slight char while cooking.
Substitute beef broth with vegetable broth if preferred.
Serve over wilted spinach for a low-carb option.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
